The best way to normalize nudity is to treat it as completely natural. If you act secretive or embarrassed, it may give others the impression that nudity is something to be ashamed of.
Many people shy away from the label of “nudist,” but they might feel comfortable participating in nude activities at a beach, hot tub, or resort—so long as it seems normal. The best way to encourage acceptance is by setting an example and behaving naturally.
Avoid trying to persuade others too forcefully, as that can push them away. Think of it like any other hobby—whether it’s golf, bowling, or woodworking, you wouldn’t keep pressuring someone to join if they weren’t interested. If they are curious, they’ll ask. Otherwise, they’ll respect your choices, and that’s all you need.
205 Arguments and Observations In Support of Naturism
More than ever, Naturists need powerful arguments to defend their chosen lifestyle against those who cannot see beyond their own misconceptions and preconceived notions. We need evidence and testimony to encourage others to give Naturism a try. For several years, I found myself making claims like these:
"Actually, Mom, taking the kids to a nudist park is good for them."
"The ideals of Naturism are consistent with the goals of women's rights."
"A lot of famous people don't think skinnydipping's such a bad thing."
"There's nothing in the Bible that says it's wrong to go nude."
"Naturism has some real psychological benefits."
"Not everyone in the world thinks nudity is so bad, you know."
I knew that these statements were true, but when pressed, I could not back them up with concrete references. And so, this project was born. Extensively documented with quotes, references, supporting research, and resources for further study. Compiled by K. Bacher
